Tile-roofed guardhouse at a community gate

Everyone sees the entry. Nobody forgets a bad one.

The entrance is the first thing a buyer sees and the last thing a resident passes every day. It has to look right on the first visit and stay right for years, through Florida sun, storms, irrigation and traffic.

We build community entries as complete features: monuments and signage walls, guardhouses and gate structures, the walls and planters around them and the landscaped medians that frame the approach. One team handles the structure and the details around it.

The process

How an entry project runs

  1. Review the designWe go through the entry plans, materials and finishes with you and flag cost and durability questions early.
  2. Coordinate the tradesMasonry, concrete, electrical, irrigation and landscape all meet at the entry. We schedule them so they do not trip over each other.
  3. Build to the detailsCorners, caps, joints and finishes are what people notice. An owner stays involved to make sure they are right.
  4. Finish and hand overA walkthrough of the finished entry, a punch list and the documentation your team needs.

Do you build the guardhouse and the entry monuments together?
Yes. Guardhouse, monuments, walls and landscaping at the entry can be one scope, so one team builds the whole first impression.
Can you match an existing architectural style?
Yes. We build to your plans and materials, and we pay particular attention to how new work meets existing masonry, roofing and finishes.
Do you work on entries for existing communities?
Yes, whether it is a new feature for a community that is still being built or an update for one that is already established. See also our renovation services.
Can you build the clubhouse too?
Where do you build?
Throughout Central and Northeast Florida, from our office in St. Augustine.
How do I request a quote?
